Paying for your scooter
Pay cash
Most people buy a travel scooter outright. Order online and we will deliver it.
Insurance
Medicare and some plans cover a scooter (HCPCS K0800) only when it is medically necessary for getting around inside your home, after a face-to-face exam with your doctor. We can check whether you qualify.
Common questions
Can the Scout go in my car?
Yes. It comes apart into five lightweight pieces that fit in most car trunks. The heaviest piece of the 3-wheel Scout is about 29 lb.
3-wheel or 4-wheel?
The 3-wheel turns tighter and is better indoors. The 4-wheel is more stable outdoors and on uneven ground. If you’re unsure, call us and we’ll help you choose.
How do I charge it?
Plug the off-board charger into the battery pack, either on the scooter or with the pack removed. Charge after each day of use, and don’t let the batteries sit fully drained.
Can I take it on a plane?
Airlines set their own rules for mobility devices and batteries. Contact your airline before you travel.
